Our story

Built on the Gold Coast.
Built on genuine care.

Joyful Support was founded with one belief: every person deserves support that's consistent, compassionate, and actually joyful.

What we stand for

Our mission & values

Person-centred always

Your goals drive everything we do. Support should fit your life, not the other way around.

Reliability you can count on

We show up. Every time. On time. That's not a tagline — it's how we operate.

Genuine warmth

We're not just ticking boxes. Every interaction is approached with real care and respect.

Excellence in compliance

75+ audited NDIS policies. Compliance isn't a burden — it protects the people we support.

A founder who lives what we do

Neil Herdegen is legally blind himself — so every decision at Joyful Support comes from lived experience, not theory. A blind golf pioneer and postgraduate achiever, his career managing complex programs across Queensland Government reflects the same standard he brings here: structured, professional, and built on the belief that disability is no barrier to a full and excellent life.

Neil is the founder and CEO of Australian not-for-profit charity World Blind Golf. He continues strong hands-on support and advocacy for blind golf, through World Blind Golf's national junior and senior blind golf programs.
