Safe, reliable, disability-appropriate transport to appointments, activities, and community life — on time, every time.

What is Joyful Transport?

Transport support is funded under Core Supports — Transport (Category 02) in your NDIS plan. Unlike other Core Support categories, transport funding is generally a stated support — meaning it is allocated for a specific purpose in your plan and is not automatically flexible with other Core budget.

NDIS transport funding covers the cost of getting to and from disability-related activities — medical appointments, therapy sessions, community participation, work, and education. It does not cover general transport costs that all people face regardless of disability.

Joyful Support provides transport that integrates seamlessly with other supports. In many cases, transport is included as part of a broader support session — your support worker travels with you, not just drops you off.

Eligibility

To access this support through Joyful Support, the following conditions generally apply:

NDIS Participant

You are an active NDIS participant with Transport (Category 02) funding stated in your plan, or your Core budget is flexible enough to draw from it

Disability Barrier

Your disability creates a barrier to using mainstream transport independently — for example, you cannot safely use public transport alone, or public transport is not accessible for your needs

Disability-Related Travel

The transport is to or from a disability-related activity that is part of your NDIS plan (appointments, therapy, community participation, work, education)

Check Your Plan

Transport funding is a stated support in most plans — check with your plan manager or support coordinator before drawing from other Core categories

Service Area

The transport is within the Gold Coast, Brisbane, Northern NSW, and Logan regions we service
